^these people must be dropped/on waivers unless you drafted them in the main draft (like I think Ekblad was drafted in the main draft so whoever drafted him can keep him)
so, i think that this confusion can be contributed to one simple thing:
Not everyone here is on the forum.

Im gonna use the forum/email as the primary means of communication.
Now given that has been said, here is how i plan to proceed.
I am sorry for causing any confusion, the second draft is PROSPECTS ONLY!
Now to clarify prospects, i think it will be super difficult to determine what is truly a prospect in terms of this league, so i have two options for everyone.
a) Prospects are players 20 and under, not drafted by a CHL team.
b) Prospects are only those of the 2014 NHL Entry draft not drafted by a CHL team
I would like to hear your feedback on which option you all would prefer.
For those of you who added (not drafted) prospects that have yet to play a full season with their NHL team, i request that you drop that player and add the player you dropped.
Once we figure out what we want to do with the draft, i will get the order posted and we will have the draft asap (offline) so that this is clarified.
Clarification of the benefits of draft/what it means to draft the prospect:
If you draft a player in the CHL entry draft, then these players' rights belong to the team that drafted them. This means though they are in the FA, teams that do not own their rights can not add them. These prospects can be traded and retained for as long as you want. However, once you call them into your main squad (23 man roster) they lose prospect status, and if you drop them, they are free for anyone to take. So lets say I draft William Nylander, I can hold on to Nylander for 2 seasons and then when hes a baller for the Maple Leafs, call him up and use him as a regular player. So even though he might be really good in one season, i might have him just sit in my prospect list for a season, and no one can get him, but I can trade him if i want. Now that Nylander is on my regular team, if i cut him, he is free for anyone to claim/add. So only call up prospects if you know u want them.
If you need anymore clarification please let me know. Thanks for participating and i hope we have a good season!
