I think the 1st draft is gonna be an online draft so it is easier to get the rosters filled fast.
The 2nd draft is going to be for the young rooks. This will be offline.
What do y'all think?

Dunno if I like a dynasty league to have a live draft. Maybe if we jack the turn time limit up? I just don't want to make a decision in 60-90 seconds.

Yes..Online draft is the only way to go for the 1st draft. Offline drafts with that many players an teams take way to much time. Im doing a 1st year dynasty draft in another league right now and its a 30 round draft. We've been doing it for 5 days and we are only on round 9.
Its so much easier to keep track of players taken and players available.

I can make the draft times the max time so you have time to make a decision, but I personally don't want a 2 week draft haha. Also keeping track of drafted players and stuff would be so much easier! We will have an offline draft for the rooks so we will have offline drafts after the inception draft

I'd be fine with an online draft @ max turn time. I'm willing to dedicate an hour or two to this.

What if for example in the entry draft I take with the 4th pick in the 3 round I pick Dylan Larkin the 15th pick from this years draft and he end up making his nhl team out of his draft year (I know this won't happen considering he's playing at Michigan this year) and I wanted to keep him and use him on my team, would I have to drop a forward and then put Larkin on my roster or?

Alright.. so here is what I'm thinking.. You have a max of 23 players on your roster (not including draftees) By having only 23 and no AHL team should minimize having crap players in FA. Now given you can only have a max of 23 players, what happens when you want to sign a draft pick? In order to make sure UFA isn't crap and to make it more challenging, in order to have a rookie join your team, you must get rid of one of the players on your 23 man roster. So lets say Dylan Larkins is playing well and is going to play NHL, and I have Marcus Johansson riding my bench. In order to "sign" Larkins and have him play, I would have to drop Johansson (or someone else). I think this is fair and should make rookies be worth something. Let me know if y'all agree

I think it's best to do an offline draft with both young players and old. Imagine if a couple of GMs don't show up and don't set their priorities. This league would essentially be fked.

Thats why if you have the online draft list set you won't be.. also it has the players ranked based off of last seasons production, so you won't be screwed unless the player is injured

I agree, try to find the night where the most people can do the draft and if you can't make it just have your draft list set.

For main draft im randoming it.. For rook draft im gonna basically do a draft lottery for each pick of first round to determine order
